Brigade Models Ecuadoran Ships
« on: August 21, 2021, 12:59:02 PM »
Every time I browse the Brigade Models site I'm tempted to grab some Aeronef ships for use as VSF spacecraft in Full Thrust and the like but to date the open decks and smokestacks have managed to allow me to resist.  Barely.  Be so easy to just handwave them away with Rutherford-Quatermass Patent aerofield generators and phlogiston combustion furnaces...but no, I've restrained myself so far.

But these?  These are just cheating.

Hardly even have to pretend those are starships there.  They look like they could have been on the cover of an early pulp magazine, maybe one running a serialization of Edison Conquers Mars or something.  Not even out of place for a Buck Rogers or Flash Gordon strip.  And they even have a torpedo cutter to feed my love of expendable missile strikeboats.

Plus I suppose you could play Aeronef or Imperial Skies with them as intended.  :)

Do it!  Pull the trigger!

I really like my Aeronef models from them.  Good stuff.

Ecuador seems right. That looks pretty much like what we will be metaphorically inserting up the collective jacksies of Barcelona de Guayaquil in next month’s semi final.  :D

Better than an actual shooting war starting up again.

Much better than a shooting war. We ended up 4-0 on aggregate.  :)

Roll on the final.

Indeed you did.

FWIW, I see Brigade's expanded the Brazilian aeronef fleet a bit too, although I can't say their designs are quite as, ah, striking.  Think they're expecting to get through the whole of the continent's fictional forces over the next year or so, maybe less.
