The Ziggurat of Doom
« on: July 02, 2021, 08:39:05 AM »
We played the very first Warhammer scenario with my friend Francesc.
It was quiet difficult for the goblins... Well it was a complete fiasco. Only one dwarf died.

Dwarves: Oathmark miniatures. Thorgrim is a miniature from Grenadier now sold by Forlorn Hope games
Goblins: Oathmark
Hobgoblins: all of them are half orcs from Grenadier. Now also sold by Forlorn Hope but those are truly Grenadiers from my childhood.

Thanks for looking

Very cool! I do really like those Grenadier Hobgoblin/Half-Orc sculpts.

I quite fancy the Grenadier half-orcs as well. Nice set-up.

That's about how I remember my playthroughs of the scenario going way back when as well.  Don't think the poor gobs every managed to kill more than three stunties.

Is this 2'x2'? it looks perfect for the dining room table. Love the simplicity of the set up, the terrain is great, and lovely minis. All around a great looking time!

I remember that scenario with fondness. Difficult for the goblins to win. Great table set up and the figures are rather tidy too.

Thanks for the memory  lol

I think I played it when I bought the rules on their release, but I can't recall how it went at all.

We tried to play Warhammer V.1 again about 10 years ago, but it felt way too clunky.
