Surely for modern vampires, especially after becoming ensnared by True Blood myself, it would be more a question of painting the skin appropriately pale?

Any figs from a modern range (Foundry Street Violence for example) would probably fit the bill.

Or are you really wanting some minis with oversized fangs crammed into their mouths?

A mix really, most positions would be filled with pale types, but a few subtle fangs here and there would be nice :)

I'm not at all interested in Buffy-style vampires tho, with the whole demonic face-thing..

well, hasslefree has a few underworld inspired figures (no fangs though).

And reaper has a few that can work (I seem to recall one female vampire leaning against a tombstone that is wearing a modern looking dress).

Reaper has a brand new pack of feral vampires that are rather nice.  A male and female in a very dynamic action pose...

The forum Dawn of the Lead has done a review of this pack.
