Building my Spanish Wind Pumps ... Now Finished
« on: July 21, 2021, 07:15:34 PM »
Comrades,
Until corrected, I'm calling these my wind water pumps. Please feel free to follow the link to my latest how-to blog post on this build - part 1 of 2. The whole thing has been an experiment for me and I hope you get something out of it. I'd never used texture rollers before, I am inexperienced with clay and I'd never built a wind pump or mill for that matter. I don't think I covered this in the blog but they are designed for 28mm wargames.

Your use of the roller was good but the sails are inspired.

Thanks for the kind remarks. I can't take any credit for the roller - just glad my first use of it worked out so well. They are painting up nicely. Update on the way shortly.

Okay, for those of you who read the first part and might be curious to see the results, I've now finished the wind pumps.

Please find Part 2 on my blog via the following link: https://unluckygeneral.blogspot.com/2021/07/wind-pumping-my-take-on-busaco-wind.html
