Clix are great!

Most of my zombie horde & post apocalyptic mutant horde and either clix, AD&D, or other plastic mini.

Can't beat the price or the fact that they can be put on the gaming table right away.

This makes it great for me because I'm not in this for the endless painting or backbreaking carrying-cases of lead-like miniatures.

Rubbery plastic 28mm are basically fucking crap. There are, IMO, so many better alternatives.

I had used a method that I had read on one of the site on removing the clixy type figure from the bases. This method will remove the figure without damaging the feet (as clippers just won’t do the job sometimes).  Pop the figure you want to remove from the base into your freezer wait an hour or so and snap the base off.  The glue used will break before the figure will for the most part.  You still need to be careful though.  I tried it and it worked like a charm.

Would it be possible to replace those paper dials in the bases with plain numerical ones? 1-6 or 1-9?  I need something similar for  space game missile and fighter indications.

I prefer to use this 'chisel' type blade I have for my modeling knife and wedge it in the gap. Fast, and efficient with no damage to the clix figure.

What in your "IMO" are better alternatives cheaper than Clix's?
