Next up is an all foot retinue. Not sure if it will stay this way and which colours to choose.

I once read that, far from being pansy/girly, at one time pink was considered a very martial colour, just can't remember why though?

Yes, until relatively recently pink was a boys colour and blue was for girls - and it was quite common for young boys and girls to both wear dresses whilst in infancy. I think it was some kind of branding/marketing image that changed this.

Finally painted the latest all foot retinue. I ended up splitting it into a bunch of peasants and a core retinue of Sir Rothermund of Hirschburg (deer castle) with a sergeant and three men at arms. Two variants on a white/red paint scheme.
