How well doesMirliton scale to other 28s?

Howdy I was wondering how Mirliton 28 medieval figs scaled next to say perry 28mm ranges?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

very well, I have tons mixed with Crusader, Artizan, Perry, Black tree, Conquest, Fireforge, etc... a small suggestion: choose latest/newest horses for knights (n087+), they are slight bigger than the first half codes, so more massive "battle horse" look, but from n60+ they are all good.

Generally Mirliton are a company that I would not mix with the Perry stuff, unless I was putting together a unit that was composed of a lot of different manufacturers.

My reasons?

Well, if you just mix a couple of companies the difference can be very noticeable, but if you're mixing and matching a number of companies, then the difference is less visible as long as the painting style is consistent.

A unit of my Anglo Danes to illustrate what I man- we have Footsore (with both Bill's and Matthews very different sculpting styles), Gripping Beast, Saxon Miniatures (now sold by Warlord) and Drabant Miniatures! There are some quite considerable different styles of sculpting and sizes of models in this unit- but, if you keep the painting style consistent then the unit will have a more homogenous look and things will gel nicely.

For more pics of the unit and close ups of each single base pop over to my blog for a better illustration of what I'm getting at:

Thanks and good to know. I am more interested in the civilian diaramas for some skirmishing.

If they're not in a unit then they should look fine.

Here are three Militon and one Gripping Beast figure I did last year:

They are, generally, a skinnier model.  Individually based like this, you won't have a tremendous issue.  For civilians, this would work fine for the most part (I have two mirliton ladies I converted as seen below)

That has, left to right, Foundry, Mirliton, Perry, Mirliton, Footsore.

I have a lot of Mirliton in my 2nd Barons war, welsh wars and first Scottish war of independence. Mine are mixed with fireforge plastics and some Footsore, foundry ranges.

They are larger but do paint up well, and make some fine cavalry figures and civilians.

Cheers
Matt

In my opinion they mix nicely. I like units not too homogeneous and Mirliton can provide peculiar poses. My 2 cents
