I recall him being interviewed on "Wogan" and describing how he'd been given a scene in "Life of Brian" because the Monty Python crew heard he was in the area on holiday and "ambushed" him.  He was asked what Morocco (where they were filming it) was like and he replied: "Do you know, without a world war going on, it's the most bloody boring place on Earth."
