Buying Schilling Figuren Napoleonic 1/72 figures

Hello Fellow Forum Members,

As a new member I wondered if anyone could advise me about buying Schilling Figuren Napoleonic 1/72 figures. Their website does not seem to offer a UK postal service.

Is there a UK stockist, or a European supplier, that I could order from? I have successfully ordered figures from Art Miniaturen, Franznap and Hagen.

Just order direct. They have great service. I have had 5 orders from them no problems. I am in Canada. Hope this helps. Barry

They are lovely figures, but this company does not permit me to request they post their goods to the UK when I attempt to order directly from their website. I hope that makes sense.

I have not had this problem with other German producers, such as Hagen, Franznap and Art Miniaturen.

Any suggestions from members would be welcome.

It actually does not. Do you mean the website does not allow for you to contact them in order to broach the request? Or is it that they have replied in the negative?



Have you no friends in the EU who can forward you the parcel? As a last resort of course, considering the extra time and postage involved.

Yes, apologies for my convoluted grammar. I assume the former point you make to be true,  the UK is not on their postal list which means I cannot complete an online order. Things would be different if I lived on either Jersey and Guernsey, which are included amongst their International  postal addresses. I have not been directly rebuffed by the website organisers.

Asking an EU mate feels like an imposition and  would be a last resort

I have had companies in Spain, Belgium and Poland add a country missing from the destinations list. All it takes is an email and a modicum of patience. Good luck trying. And let us know how this ends.

I’d have thought a simple email to the company saying, I’d like to buy x, my address is (somewhere in the UK), how much would that be? Would suffice.

Until you have had a response from them, you don’t know if its an accidental omission on their web cart, or an actual business decision not to ship to the UK due to complexities post Brexit. Some of the rules changed for the better in July regarding international VAT.

I was recently emailed by the company, they informed me they do not post to the UK because of Brexit complications. This is a shame and I do hope they will reconsider, in light of the amended VAT arrangements mentioned above. I have successfully purchased items from Hagen, Art Miniaturen and Franznap this year.

I suppose this might be an opportunity for a trader willing to post to the UK.
