Last Monday we played our first game of Longstreet in ages, it was the first of 9 that will comprise a Grand Campaign!

It was an interesting affair set in 1861 with the Rebs attacking. Unusually for Longstreet (in our experience) BOTH sides became quite mobile! The Southerners main advance was with a powerful infantry force on their right. The Yankees took advantage of the weak Reb centre/right and defeated the forces there then advancing on troops on the rear of the Southerners main attacking force! While this was unfolding both sides cavalry detachments played cat and mouse with each other. The main action now developed on the Rebel left/Yankee right. Both sides infantry launched several attacks and in the end the Northerners inflicted enough casualties on their enemy to score a victory!
