Mallo's Inquisimunda/Necromunda '95/Inq28 Project Log
« on: September 05, 2021, 03:41:52 PM »
(I actually started this project last year, but my last year of uni meant I got too busy, but I'm back working on this project now!)

I've been putting together a new inquisimunda campaign and I made a newsletter to keep track of the progress on everything I get done for it, to send on to the rest of my group(as well as it being a space to record battle reports later on.) This is my first 28mm scale campaign I've done in a quite a while, having mostly been doing 6mm scale stuff for the past few years- Inq6 & micromunda! This is a continuation of the same lore/background we've been using for our 6mm scale campaigns.

Our campaigns are not set on Necromunda, but rather on our own campaign world of 'Gorgades', but thanks to some warp shenanigans, much of what is local to Necromunda is able to bleed through the realities and into our own hive world, so there are many, many similarities between the worlds (Ie: a lot of lore breaking will occur and this stops anyone (else) complaining!). My previous Inq6/Inq28 stuff has been very 'Grim-serious' but this time I'm taking a lot more relaxed approach and there will be a lot more (god awful) easter eggs and nerdy references and way more (god awful) humour scattered throughout the campaign. (I couldn't face another grimdark campaign right now, having been stuck at home for months & months)

So here is Volume 1.1 of the 'Gorgades Gazette':

Thanks! Its been really nice to be put together something a lot less serious!

Gorgades Gazette Vol 1.2 and 1.3.1 were both done just before the long break to complete Uni and training for a new job.

Ha, perhaps I'll have to add some Sump Anchovie monsters to the campaign!  lol

Gordades Gazette Vol 1.4

I got sick of certain plastic terrain being out of stock all the time so decide to try some MDF stuff and I can say I'm a big fan. Takes a little more work and the paint scheme needed to be altered slightly but I've brought an awful lot of it now and my table design is slowly getting out of hand! (In a good way!)

Needed a break from building and painting terrain, so built and painted a Wretched Orc Bounty Hunter.

Have just realised I missed the band on his arm, so will have to go back and do that and tempted to try adding a tattoo, but for a speed paint whilst watching a film I don't he turned out to bad and is fine for adding to the NPC character pool.

The nude orc, is that a victrix celt fanatic with a wargames factory goblin head?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Spot on! It is indeed!

I built a unit of them for oathmark as well, but haven't gotten around to painting them yet.

Cool, do you have any photos of them? I was thinking doing something similarly but with best elf heads for.some.wild fey.

Yes, I do. Should be some about half down on my fantasy project log: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=117916.45

Cheers! Our 6mm campaign got put on hold repeatedly due to real life and lockdowns but it was pretty grim and we just couldn't face going back to it yet after the last couple of years. So we are trying to inject more punk aesthetics and dumb humour into this campaign to cheer everyone up! Glad to have brought you some entertainment!

Thanks!  :D

No bother! I'll get them painted....at some point! lol

No newsletter for my group this week, I've hurt my eye and need to spend a lot less time behind the screen for a while. But still painting a bit each day when I'm able. Been buying up cheap bundles of 95 necromunda minis and gave this old plastic Goliath a strip and repaint.
