Cavemen?
« on: September 06, 2021, 02:07:00 AM »
I have some of the Copplestone figures, which are very nice, but am looking to expand the collection and wondered what else is out there?

Lucid Eye has some outstanding Neanderthals. Also, Pulp Figures has a very nice range of prehistoric figures, but I’m not sure how well those will mix with Copplestone.

Yes, Steve Saleh’s style is similar to Mark Copplestone’s so I think Lucid Eye’s Neanderthals, Cro-Magnons & Neolithics would be a great fit.

The Pulp Figures neanderthals are quite a bit shorter than the Copplestone figures - but that could be good if you wanted them as a different sub species.
Some of the Copplestone sculpted ex-Grenadier Barbarians (sold by Mirlton and Em-4) can be converted with little work (weapon swops, shaving knives off belts) and can be purchased individually (EM-4) to save getting unusable pieces. Likewise some of the Copplestone sculpted naked Ancient Germans in the Wargames Foundry range will fit seamlessly
Arcane Scenery do a couple of packs of cavemen that are a similar heft to Lucid eye so should mix well

There's some pretty good ones that Reaper put out in one of their kickstarters along with their runehorn hut that works rather well at the same time.

Denizen have some, 25mm. Miniature Figurines have 3 cavemen, fantasyish though.
