Mordheim Carnival of Chaos
« on: September 09, 2021, 12:52:18 PM »
I got to paint the complete classic Carnival of Chaos for a client. The colour scheme was their choice, and I needed to slightly convert some of the figures to kit them out with weapons and options matching their list. The Cart, which is the centrepiece of the warband, is decorated with freehand images inspired by the danse macabre and medieval demons. I also made a small display board to hold the minis. It represents a country road they are traveling, leaving a trail of black mould, disease and death in their wake. The classic Carnival minis really have a ton of character!

Brilliant, especially the images on the wagon.

Love the freehand.  Color choices seem good to me, never much liked the more garish schemes GW seem to favor.

Are those figs old enough to be called classics yet?  :)

Superb work and very original.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

I'll be honest.  I've never really been overly impressed by the miniatures from the Carnival of Chaos (I think they landed during some of GW's...worse years for sculpting).  But they've always been a decently thematic collection, and your paintwork is superb - bringing the best out of..."meh" sculpted minis.  Nice work!

Funny enough, I feel like they were particularly nasty offerings, but perhaps that's just a credit to Blasphemia here. :D

Certainly no effort was spared on this particular job!

Great. I'd love to see a wider shot of the entire bunch. This is a work of art!
