Both sides wiped each other out until only the Elf prince survived.

Perfect.  Now he can be all melancholy and pensive like proper knife-ear royalty.  :)

Thanks Fred.  The trees were scratch built.  A wire frame with PVA and paper mache to make the trunks.  Rubberised horse hair covered in glue and flocked for the foliage.

Thanks - probably more effort than I’m wanting to put in - but the result is impressive, creating suitable big trees.

Wow wee.

Isn’t it an advantage to have a bigger footprint by giving the orcs half points per model…

Absolutely.  There will be much singing of sad songs for a century or two after these terrible losses.   :'(

I can understand that.  Our Dark Lord of Morder is the master builder and has a work ethic to match.  I help out a bit but productivity would be a tiny fraction of what it is if left up to me.

Marginally perhaps, but then the units get in each others way too.  I wouldn't say the points in Dragon Rampant are really tight enough for min/max competitive play anyway.  So the effect is lost in the mix.  Really we just wanted something easy to play that got the figures on the table.  The Middle Earth rules were fun for small games but we painted too many figures and the games became slower.
