Finally painted!  8)

Stalingrad 1943...  ;)

T34/85 Sn Sonic Tank - Modeling Note: I used a Battlefront FoW T34 tank and fitted a small Satellite dish to the turret. The dish is from GZG 15mm SF building fittings.

T34/85 H Thermal Tank - Modeling Note: Again a Battlefront FoW T34 tank was used. The Thermal gun is from one of the GZG 15mm SF building fittings.

T34/85 T Tesla Tank - Modeling Note: I used a Battlefront FoW T34 tank and fitted the DP9 Tesla gun to the turret. The Tesla gun is from the Allied weapon pack of DP9. To make it look more fitting to the tank I shortened it to 3 “dishes”.

Woah those are great, both the models and the painting. I don't try to paint tanks often so while I can get the flat colour down pretty well the weathering is something I've not really got right yet myself.

I particularly love the sonic tank, anything with a sonic weapon reminds me of playing Dune 2 as a kid as house Atreides with their sonic tanks, great vehicles but if you positioned them badly they did horrific amounts of friendly fire.
 :)

The Su-85 packing a railgun and Mantikor on your site are both brilliant too.

wow, I really like Your work

one general question

why do some people mount vehicles on bases?
is it because of the rules or is it just style?

The most common reason I've seen for mounting vehicles on bases is to keep them more in scale with the troop miniatures which are mounted on bases and otherwise the profile of the said vehicles looks smaller than said troops.
We haul ours to kick theirs.

Thanks!
For me itis just because of the look. The Evolution rules are not calling for base size AT ALL!

I see, so for style
well I guess many gamers prefer undersized vehicles, so the base thing does make sense

well, and personal preference of course
