Horse and Guns - Early Peninsular War
« on: September 18, 2021, 11:55:03 PM »
Comrades,

In the absence of gaming for the Aussie lock-down, I'm boosting my army with a build-up toward the postponed Peninsular game I was supposed to have played in July. Please find attached my figure conversion and finished Dragoon Guards squadrons (Part 2) and an optional extra 9pdr for the Brits. I hope you get something out of it.

They look great.

Iím (very slowly) doing a similar project in 10mm, and I may well steal your basing idea.

Nice work. I especially like the idea of
fitting the 9pdr onto the base by placing
it at a diagonal. Will nick that idea.
Played a couple of Peninsular games
yesterday, but at a low figure count.
Like you I am still recruiting. :)

Thanks for the kind remarks and absolutely take anything I may have done and improve on it. I'm a huge believer in sharing with the collective.

Keep recruiting. I've been expanding my Peninsular army this year simply on mood and it comes at the cost of all my other projects. Whilst the motivation remains, I'm dedicating much of this year to expanding an already functional army - pushing through the division toward a corps - as if early Peninsular Brits had a corps of course.
