28mm Etruscans?

Which figures could I use as stand in Etruscan?
Crusader Campanian perhaps?
Victrix Samnite?

I notice Agema are about to launch a range?
And there is the Aventine range, which appear to be not available at the moment?

Ideas?

The Gorgon Etruscans are very nice, but few photos exist.

I can attest the chariot is brilliant. The hoplites are nice but suffer from the Saleh lizard sticking down poses, but the arms bend back.

Certainly agree about the Gorgons, their Spartan range includes psiloi who would be fine as Etruscan skirmishers (5th class).

Redoubt and Mirliton also have Etruscans - Mirliton does a nice General in a 2 horse chariot.    These are smaller and slimmer than Aventine/Gorgon.    I think Redoubt does a priest and snake charmers.

A&A does Samnites.

When Aventine has finished re-tooling (??), their Etruscans are late period but very good.  Their Italian Hill Tribesmen are also fine figures and there will be options amongst their Roman Hastati and Leves as 2nd/3rd/4th/5th class.   Aventine early Roman generals (foot and mounted) would fit and they used to do lictors as well.

If you Google "painted Etruscan 28mm" you should get a range of examples.   Possibly even Gorgons!

Victrix hoplites and their Roman allied set may offer choice as well.  Their Republican Roman and Greek cavalry would be good but you will need suitable head swaps.   Agema will be ideal here.   Examples on their Facebook page are promising.

I recently received my Etruscan miniatures form Agema, they are on my painting desk ready for pro working prior to painting. I will post an example shortly.

Aventine are re-tooling and should be available in the new year.
They would be my first choice, so I may wait.

I used Victrix Roman Legionary, Greek Hoplites, Viking, and Greek Light Cavalry left overs to make mine. 

However, I think the Italian Allies and Samnites would be a better base kit.  Like I said, mine were made of left-overs. 

You will want some Green Stuff for those great Etruscan helmets with the front to back metal "fins" too.

Depends, I used a mix of Agema plastics, a few foundry, first corps and mirliton.

Agema Miniatures are very nice but do not mix very well with the quite porky Aventine Etruscans...



The Redoubt figures really capture the not quite Greek style of the Etruscans and they are quite characterful sculpts. (The Redoubt figure below is a Roman, but it gives you an idea of the sculpting style...)



My earliest Etruscans were QT Miniatures made from a mix of Roman, Greek and Italian parts. You can do the same now with plastics if you have the creative urge...

I got some of the new Agema Etruscans from their kickstarter and they are great figures. Hopefully they will be more available soon.

Have a look at the Agema, THe picture from above was from the Republican Roman range quite some time ago so they are a little bit smaller.
