That's one heck of a bumper family-sized set of posts.  Very nice painting, it'll be great when you finally get around to playing and everything's all nicely painted.

It's interesting that you found the Guardsmen easy to paint, I looked at them, took in the large amount of detail (cloaks, rags, spikes, icons, general and bits and bobs) all over them and assumed they'd take forever.  In the end I decided my existing PDF troopers could serve double duty as traitor guardsmen (I just had to add a handful with melee weapons), rather than painting a whole extra force of guardsmen.

I wanted to get every thing done in the basic game before we played so I haven't even cracked the rules. As the guys I want to play this with are spread across a couple of thousand KM's of western Canada, we only get together a few times a year, so it may be a while yet. :(

Beware of spoiler for the overall campaign, although you won't see it all if you didn't get all the big supplements.  To put it mildly, there's a twist or two and knowing them kind of ruins the full impact.

They were fairly time consuming but I still enjoyed them. I found the CSM more tedious.

I haven't really followed any of the GW community stuff and don't belong to any BF groups so I am pleasantly ignorant. :)
