Sci fi weapons for Perry Boer War minis

I have some Perry Boer War British which I want to use as VSF minis, I got some Anvil arms and weapons to sci fi them up a bit, but they are two big, they are all looking a bit hench. Does anyone have any suggestions for more appropriate arms and weapons?

They're quite slight for 40k and the longer guns look a bit like Lee Enfields.
