(KICKSTARTER) MDF Half Timbered Buildings NOW ON KICKSTARTER

Some readers of these pages will remember the MDF Tudor style buildings project I have been working on for quite a few months. I am lucky that as I have known Jim at Products For Wargamers for many years, he has always been happy enough to cut my designs for me. These are provided in a bag of bits straight off the machine and I then have loads of fun sorting them out and trying to remember how everything goes together.

As the number of designs increased over the last year, Jim suggested that we look at marketing the buildings and run a Kickstarter. The Kickstarter would allow us to make any final changes to the designs, get them sprued and create instructions on how to build them.

So we are doing it and the Kickstarter will launch on the 22nd October.



The holding page is now up on Kickstarter and you can CLICK HERE to be reminded of when the Kickstarter goes live.

This is the first Kickstarter I have created and I must say that it requires a huge amount of effort to set it up and work through the project plan, cost model and create the Kickstarter page with all the images. But I guess if it was easy, then everyone would do it.

Here are a few sneak peeks at of buildings that have been painted up.

These are unpainted, supplied flat packed with assembly required.

It was tempting until I saw the $50ish shipping charge for 2kg package to the US.  Ouch!

Not sure if we can blame it all on Brexit, but postage to mainland Europe and further afield has gotten very expensive.
