Anyone else come across Tumbling Dice metal 1/72?
« on: October 18, 2021, 03:08:17 PM »
While looking at options for my 1/72 HotT and KoW projects, I stumbled across Tumbling Dice. I'd never heard of them (and couldn't mention of them on this forum), but they make metal miniatures compatible with 1/72. From the extensive array on the Paul's Bods blog, the figures look really good - and they seem to fit in well with 1/72 plastics.

The reason I'm looking at them is because it's useful to have 'wargamey' figures to curb the 'diorama' excesses of the more oddly posed plastics - so having some more conventional types to add in helps with keeping units vaguely warlike.

Anyway, I thought they might be worth bringing up here, given the various 1/72 projects that the forum's denizens engage in: note that the Wars of the Roses figures are in the 'Renaissance' section.

A few years ago I bought and painted loads of the crimean figures. Ok castings quite stocky but fine to paint.
Speed of delivery and customer service was excellent.

I shall try them out. I thought the figures might be relatively stocky (as metals tend to be), but they do look good painted up. I may need some exceptionally burly huscarls for Kings of War (by dint of the odd basing system), so these might be just the ticket.
