Glad that’s settled then. You certainly don’t want a protruding duster. People might think you’re a rooster.  :D

Just idle speculation. Paul is already sorted for the ZSU-23-4. The T-54 would require a major rebuild. The ZSU-57 has only four road wheels and IIRC the hull is a bit shorter. The BTR-40 with and without the twin 14.5mm would be my pick but to be frank I’d rather the ground mounted ZPU-4. That saw the most service and is probably the most efficient tool for the average ‘Brave destroyer of helicopters’.

Yes sadly the T-55 would only save me about an hour on the ZSU hull  :?

Did I mention I hate towed artillery?  Especially AA guns... just so fiddly and spindly everywhere!

Nice.

Paul is already sorted for the ZSU-23-4.

I remember a discussion (January 2018?) over the size of the Empress ZSU-23-4.

Sorry I am talking twaddle, but thank you for not pointing out what an idiot I am.

The thing with toys is… ‘if it looks right, it is right’. Obviously, individual mileage may vary.

Yep -  I agree, Carlos.  In the games I run, if it looks right to me, it is right.  When I play in other peoples' games, if it looks right to them, it is right.  Other folks, of course, may develop their own opinions, should they so choose... :D

ZSU23-4 SPAA was not the subject of the discussion I was thinking of, the ZSU-23-2 AA was.

Apologies all round.

Did they have one or two loaders? Either way, it is a busy job.

Nice.

Are those spare barrels on the track guards?

How did they get into the middle storage boxes on the track guards, the turret looks like it overhangs it?

Frem what I've seen there must have been 2 loaders (driver and radioman?) Though the side lockers are full of ammo so they would need at least 1 or 2 more for sustained fire.

Yep, paint of barrels under the left hand lockers.  I assume under sustained fire you change them out after a few hundred(?) Rounds and let them cool

The centre lockers are Cresent shaped and miss the turret ring.
