Pig Iron System Scavengers
« on: October 16, 2021, 10:58:27 PM »
Recently picked up some Pig Iron Productions "System Scavengers" to add to my sci-fi miniature collection, and am pretty pleased with how they turned out.  Lots of detail on these guys, they're heavily loaded with extra weapons, gas masks, and scads of ammo/equipment pouches.  I think they're suprisingly uniform in appearance despite being named "Scavengers", but that's fine with me.  The separate heads give just enough variation to make me happy.

Also stumbled upon some "official" (?) background for these guys given in an interview somewhere on the 'net, I forget where, seems they're meant to be rather unscrupulous fellows . .

Scavengers advancing through a stand of palm trees.

A trio of troopers with support weapons.

A squad coming down the alley.

Easing around a corner.

Brill indeed and I liked the way you dealt with the semi-obligitary Pig Iron "one leg in air pose ;)" which is the only thing I dislike about this otherwise excellent mini company.

Otherwise all is beautiful :-*

Very, very nice indeed. The colour scheme works well, and of course Pig Iron sculpts are nice additions to any sci-fi collection.

Thanks all for the nice comments.

I liked the way you dealt with the semi-obligitary Pig Iron "one leg in air pose ;)" which is the only thing I dislike about this otherwise excellent mini company.

I don't mind those, but I don't like prone figures, so I probably won't be picking up the sniper team or fire support team.

Found it!  Not an interview after all, but basically a press release from Pig Iron (?) posted on Tabletop Gaming News in 2014:  https://www.tabletopgamingnews.com/new-kolony-sci-fi-releases-from-pig-iron-productions/
