Erik Oaksplitter & Companions
« on: October 30, 2021, 09:25:30 AM »
A little project I had promised for a friend finally got done after a two year delay whilst building a collection of model ships.

As the saying goes 'Better late than never!' and it was fun having a change of theme and palette with these lovely Footsore castings.

Fantastic looking unit, your pallette is well chosen.

Nice basing too and the use of those transfers on the shields really make them pop.
The more I see of them, the keener I become on moving away from freehand.

Cheers

Lovely work  :-*

i have yet to invest in any Footsore Vikings- which is odd as I own just about every other 28mm manufacturer who does Norse!

Hi Chaps,
Thanks for your comments and glad you like Steve’s reinforcements.

I have to say, great sculpts make painting a real pleasure and the availability of great shield decals and banners really have revolutionised the look of model units for the ancients and medieval periods.

The Golden Age of Wargaming, dare I say.
