Hi all

I've started a new project to build enough 28mm scifi scenery for a densely populated  4x4 table. I have been collecting household junk, various 40K bitz, 3D printed parts as well as some scifi pieces from a Dungeons and Lasers kickstarter. There's no real plan apart from meeting some of the Stargrave and Planet 28 scenario requirements.

To start I begun with some generic scifi scatter pieces which I completed a while ago but I'll start with the WIP pictures.

The building on the left was made with a couple of kinder eggs, lots of random bits and the base is PVC foam, the middle building is made from some plumbing pipe with a 3D printed vent on top and door. the bigger building si made from a christmas decoration ball, pvc foam supports and acables from green stuff and recycled 3D printer fans.

The green cables are made using a "Green stuff tentacle/cable roller" which I 3d printed and its the first time I tried it out. I'm very pleased with the results and I will covering all my building in cables from now on.

I was heavily inspired by a lot of the members here so I hope you enjoy.

Here the next couple of pieces, I'm not really sure what they are, perhaps a small power generator and a cooling unit.

They are mostly made from XPS foam with Dungeons and Laser parts, and some sprues. I also used some worn out 3D printer bearings!

The first two buildings are finished. After messing up the numbers a few times I'm calling them done and ignoring a few remaining mistakes on the painting. I went for a pretty basic colour schemes partly because I didn't have many colours for my airbrush. The numbers were done with a 3d stencil I printed out.

I think I  will try a different font as these aren't very scifi, but otherwise I'm very pleased with the results.

Nicely understated, just the job for background scenery.

Good stuff mate! Thanks for the tip on the Green Stuff cable rollers. I can see getting some mileage out of those. Can't have too many cables.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Here's the next few pieces of scenery which were pretty quick to make.

3D printed wheels with a Dungeons and lasers crate. The middle piece is another Dungeons and Lasers piece and the $2 shop christmas baublescame in very handy as domes.

The larger industrial piece is useful as table filler and has the obligatory computer fan and lots of cables. also more D and L parts, 3D printed parts and the mesh panels are from a Conflix Cyberclicks set.  I like this piece and the simplicity design of it and it was heavily inspired by a fellow LAF'er Dr Mathais
