Cheers

Here's the last 3 junk piles. I'm very pleased how these came out after some initial reservations.

Here's two containers I put together quickly AS SCATTER TERRAIN. The ends are 3D prints and the middle sections are Conflix syberclicks sections which fitted perfectly!

The other container is a made from failed 3D prints and corrugated cardboard.

I've finally finished some low walls for this build. I struggled for inspiration and I originally planned to use some of the larger leftover pieces, but nothing called me. I also remembered at the start of this project that I would like these terrain pieces to work for Star Wars, as well as general sci-fi. That hasn't worked out, but these walls are more of a homage to Star Wars than the rest of it.

So I ended up using blue XPS foam which I added some small details and pushed a rock into the foam to rougher it up. Next I covered the walls with a mix of modge-podge and poly filler, to protect the foam and provide more texture. So after struggling I am very pleased with how these came out

Nice work. I do like the gubbins you've stuck on/in the walls.
Nice useful design of the bits of wall. Takes up little room for
storage, but has maximum flexibility for gaming.

Nice work on the walls. You should get quite a bit of use of them.

My progress slowed due to catching the virus!

I've finished my containers and started work on what should be (hopefully) my last terrain pieces for this project. I'm very happy with the containers as they took very little effort  :)

And I started on some raised platforms from 30mm thick XPS foam. The idea is to use them with 1-2 small buildings on them and have bridge/gang planks between them, or down to the ground. I made sure they can fit in my box in one layer and I can stack other terrain on top of them. I'll add more cardboard sections to the top and lots of rivet and bolts, along with more details

Cheers

Hope you're feeling better.

The raised platforms look good.

The walls are finished*. They were painted primarily with an airbrush and then I added some subtle rusty metal parts and a few posters to break up the colours.

These will be very useful for games and I can use the pieces together to create a compound

* I noticed I missed the highlights on the lights.

There's been some more detailing on the platforms and I started on another set of 3. These are 10mm high so it will give me a mix of heights and shapes. Both sets are designed to fit in a 29x31cm box, each as a single layer.

The details are a mix of thin card, textured plasticard and some MDF frames
