Yes, the Copplestone futurewars troopers, and the other similar ones he made for his own range are some of the most long lived and useful minis in many people's collections.

I like the scheme you chose for them, they look great.

Excellent work on the Trooper figures and their accompanying figs.  The unified paint scheme really pulls it all together like a good rug.

Meanwhile I've been working on a couple of ships.

The first ship is a TA-12 which was downloaded from Thingverse. I sprayed it with white primer and then sanded it and added some greebles and plasticard to break up the surfaces, and cover the worst of the 3d Print lines.

The second ship is from Imperial terrain and is a more of a Star wars style model. I kept it standard except for the guns/probes, which snapped during cleanup, so they were replaced with something more durable.

I didn't take a photo before undercoating, and here is both ships are being given a coat if US Insigna White.

My completed spaceships. The decals were random ones from my collection and mostly ww2 decals

As you can see they barely fit on my landing platform  ;)

TA-12 Transporter

SS2 Ship

They look good, especially the transformation to the first ne with all the extra gribbleys.

The paint is really good too, nicely weathered.

Top stuff.

Beautiful work!  I am so jealous of your skills.

I would love to get my hands on one of those TA-12 transporters.  :)

Thanks, first I highlighted the panels with an airbrush, followed that with lots of weathering with thin washes and sponge chipping. I finished them with a very light brown airbrush around the bottom of the craft.

I would love to get one of those awesome transporters.  Is anyone going to print/cast them for non 3D equipment users?

In the USA too.

I've had good luck with ETsy and prints so far.  There's enough sellers to drive down prices that for non-exclusive prints you can find some great deals.  Picked up Not-Sisters-of-Battle and Not-Chaos-Warriors with very good resin prints.

I picked up a pack of coasters for 50p in a charity shop a while back thinking they would make good scifi terrain bases. They have just sat there staring at me for the last six months but then I saw your raised platforms and those provided the inspiration for something of the same.

I raised the height with three layers of foamcore card and then just got to work adding in different bits of texture. It always takes more time than you imagine but I think it was worth it in the end and they will definitely be going into the games of Five Parsecs I have coming up.

Wow those have come out awesome. I might do the same and make some smaller platforms
