Just some filler pics for the Scrapheap rulebook.  Some may not make the cut, but fun nonetheless.

Found a 3D print on Etsy that I fancied.  However, it was huge, so I bought the STL and had a buddy print it smaller for me.  He sent me two, but one shattered in the mail...so...I may try to escue that eventually.

This is a "Wandering Machine" in Scrapheap, a rogue robot NPC that may appear in certain locations.  Poor photos.

Been a while since I've painted anything for Scrapheap, but I've mainly been hammering on the rulebook to finish it and get it all published.

However...I did throw together four Reaper worms for use in a scenario I plan on running at Siege of Augusta coming up shortly.  These are pretty big boys (about 60-65mm in height).  Based on 50mm bases.  Sadly, as has occurred with random Bones minis, the colour primer I used is still tacky on the models...I'd be pissed if they weren't simple to paint minis for a scenario.

As it stands I can just deal with the fact they're a bit tacky, but it's disappointing, regardless.

Thanks, Mike.

Most of the work lately has been rules and a ton of terrain (I just realized I haven't posted pics of any of that - maybe soon).  I will snag some pics when I host the game at Siege.

Great stuff yet again 8)

Interesting to hear about tackiness on Bones models after spraying. I only had this happen to me once, and that was on a soft, cheap dinosaur toy; never had this issue with Bones myself.

And to think I have one of these very worms based and ready for paint in the Cabinet of Shame...

It happened on these worms (using Vallejo Hobby Spray), and I've had it happen on two Bones giants, all of them were not the Black or USA versions, just "basic" Bones.

However, weirdly the Vallejo beige spray on their undersides...not tacky.  So just the green.  I have plenty of other Bones figures which did not become tacky, so I have no idea what the real issue is.  I had a buddy have a Bones thing go tacky when using Krylon black primer as well.

Doesn't seem to be much rhyme/reason to it.

The few bones figs I have painted, I have always undercoated them first by using thinned paint and a brush.

Everything else gets matt undercoat spray, but there is always something about the bones (and some 3d printed figs) polymers makes me uneasy to use spray paint on them. So I never do.

Your stuff is fantastic read through and eye candy

the one thing I have found that helps with "tacky" bones - the original white stuff which I think must be down to whatever mix they did on the day its so random

Polyurethane Matt Varnish - got a bottle of Vallejo (27.651) some years ago mainly for use on the board game style plastic minis.

So added it to the bones routine, only ever finish them with poly matt varnish now, just in case - and that seems to resolve my tacky issues with them.
