Civilian car colours at the start of WW2
« on: October 31, 2021, 09:44:14 AM »
I'm printing some Austin cars for roadside debris in 28mm games. I have rescaled the Austin from the Bergman files and wondered what colours I should use for vehicles used by refugees as they fled places such as Burma?

TIA
Pete.
Cheers,

Thanks Matt. I spent the afternoon downloading car files for 3D printing. Just need some soft tops now, not many convertibles around.

A lot of different colours, but primary mostly Blue, grey, black a burgundy red, white, cream and green.

Cheers
Matt

Honestly no idea for exported vehicles.
But here's a few of period correct colour schemes I found translated best into 28mm( To sit well without clashing on my Thirties table.)
I do have a cream coloured car with red wheels as well but I don't seem to have an image for it.

Very nice, thank you.

And TSG, thank you for the pics of your creations.

My print was successful, now I need to find time in a busy social week to slap some paint on.

1940s brochure for Austin.
