28mm 'Alien' aliens

There are also a number of xenowotsits in the East Riding Miniatures SF line. From the pics on the site, they look a bit lumpy and old-fashioned, but that may be due to the somehow uninspired painting.

I actually wanted to get some of those for fun and a handful of the "Cobroids" for my retro scifi stuff, and I may indeed do so at Fiasco this November. I hope Photobucket works normally again by then, so IŽll be able to present some piccies.

I like the Horrorclix AVP stuff. The miniatures are bigger than your normal 28mm but just take a look at the Predator when he's spanking Arnold around like a ragdoll and you'll see the size difference is justifiable. I coat the Aliens with two layers of gloss varnish to give them that shiny slimy gooey look.

I've gotten 2 Predators (who took out 30 armed miniatures in one of our games) & 10 Horroclix Aliens. I need to get my hands on the queen, about 5 more Alien warriors, and maybe 2 more Preds.

Then we'll have a AVP game the players will never forget.

I think the HorrorClix Predator is a monster! I have one, but he seems much too big. I'll have to find my copy of the movie and compare before I can be certain however.

No more warriors, but you can find the Queen here. And it seems they recently ran out of the predator stock too. The set does come with a warrior and predator though. Want to get my hands on another one of these sets for the eggs and to give a friend of mine his very own queen.

Rather interested in that Cthulhu one they have too.
