So the last 4 of the main team are complete, still thinking on how to paint the Grot and Squig to fit in with the overall colour scheme tbh.

Have a few Admech Skitarii Rangers painted from my abandoned 40K project and will be adding some second hand Vanguard to the mix for my next Kill Team.

Much simpler paint schemes and can speed paint a load on my next couple of days off.

So I started out looking at playing 40K Combat Patrol before deciding Kill Team would suit me better.

I'd already painted 5 Skitarii Rangers before putting the project on the backburner.

I got some second hand ones really cheap, along with some freebies and kitbashed Vanguards, so did a speed paint on them, including the plasterers scrimtape bases.

They'll do well for assorted enemies even if I never get Combat Patrol going.

The beady eyed may notice that a few of them are knights of some sort with Skitarii parts fitted - they go together well enough for me.

I have about a dozen left which may be getting some huge arms/claws fitted along with distinctly alien heads.

Very cool!

I love how you measure painting time by sport (rugby?).

I have to get my KT stuff finished. the terrain is a bit daunting by sheer volume but your method might offer an option for a good standard in a short timeframe.

Look good. It's nice to see some that aren't Martian red.

Yup, rugby matches is definitely the way to go with time measurement.

The method I used no way gives the sort of quality that you see with some peoples work, but I'm always happy that my miniatures can overshadow my terrain.

Thank you.

Yesterday I saw some that were a mustard colour then heavily weathered with oils (very grimdark as they say) - they looked brilliant.

Quick paint for the Bomb Squig and Grot, trying to keep them understated to fit in with the overall Kommando aesthetic.

Squig didn't look quite right and I really couldn't put my finger on why.

Went to prime a few space dwarves this morning and noticed the Squig's lower jaw still on the painting table.

Fool.
