I applaud your talent.  I whimped out and opted for the Hudson and Allen Alamo.  I do it on a 1:1 figure scale, using 28mm figures, and it is quite the reach to moved troops.  We have played the game about 8 times (using a free internet rule version called, I believe, "Come and Get It") and of those, I think the Texans were only victorious once.  What have your results been.   

I LOVE this period and I am excited to see someone else sharing their love of the period.  Thank you.

Actually I have not had an actual game yet. I am still basing some Texans and then I will work on the rules. I may use a modification of an existing rule set, not sure. I do have the "Come and Take It" rules too. I am looking forward to my first actual game. 

I think the Hudson Allen Alamo compound is excellent!

I ran my 40MM Alamo game at Historicon 2023, on Thursday of the convention AM and PM. I used a modified version of "Muskets and Tomahawks" for the skirmish level rules I wanted. The Mexicans were victorious in both games, however the Texians did score a moral victory achieving slightly over 50% casualties on Santa Anna's forces. The Texians numbered 170, the Mexicans 570.

I was very fortunate and also very humbled to receive the Historicon 2023 "Best of Theme" Award for my Alamo wargame.
There were many amazing games at the convention, and I was happy to even be considered among so many outstanding candidates.
