Suez Crisis ‘56 Air war
« on: January 24, 2022, 08:38:45 AM »
Got fired up after seeing Easy E’s 1/600 Korean air war aircraft here on LAF. (He’s doing a great job there).
Realised I’d already painted a few aircraft in the past for the Suez Crisis of ‘56.
Reading up, the allied airforces took out most of the Egyptian airforce on the ground, by why let truth get in the way of a wargame ?
Looking at gaming using Bag the Hun, or a homegrown version of FFOL Starfighters. Just something fun, that means we can fly some aircraft around.

Egyptian forces.
Vampires.

Mig 15’s.

Meteors

All together now....

British aircraft
Seahawks

Venoms

All together....

A little too late for the 56 crisis, Israeli Mirages.

Looking good Bob.
Talk to JC about Suez.
Saw Suez covered by 'Baldrick' in his
Forgotten Wars series, but he mainly covered
the Political side of things.
At Hammer-Head point me in the right direction
for Tumbling Dice's stand & suggest what I should buy. ;D

They look great.
The ID stripes on the Seahawks and Venoms really make them pop.
Rules-wise, Wings over Suez (Tumbling Dice) would fit the bill.

Looking good.

I was considering this too, especially since those really big, lovely Valiant bombers were involved.  You can get those from Tumbling Dice too.

Lovely work and nice to see the great early jets getting some attention.
