Something new for August.

It's been some time since I have painted a Flintloque miniature, but a recent post on the Orcs in the Webbe Facebook page, inspired my to convert a Flintloque mini of Sharke and a Todaroni Toad into this Flintloque/Silver Bayonet character.

For more information and images, see the Blog.

I have now added the modified Todaroni figure to a 2p coin, with Miliput. For more information, see the Blog.

I liked the original four todaroni but the later ones didn’t live up to the same sculpting quality. I’ve also used the original ones for other games like Burrows and Badgers but for Silver Bayonet is a great idea.

I would agree that the original four were tremendous sculpts, but I also enjoyed painting the second-generation toads. I have quite a collection of toads all painted up, but have not purchased any new models for some time.

Great idea, looks good. Recently received one of their Toad miniatures as a freebie and they look great, this one was casted in resin and well-casted it was too.

The Todaroni character has had the base textured. I have used sieved stones and sand over PVA glue.

The next step will be undercoating ready for painting.

This is an image of my latest eight Flintloque miniatures painted as Spanish soldiers for my Flintloque/Silver Bayonet cross over project. It's been some time since I have updated and painted any models, these were each painted, varnished and finished one at a time rather than my more usual batch painting method and I have to admit that I enjoyed the change which got me out of a rut. For more information, see the Blog.

Superb, wonderful, colourful eye candy Tony.

Always on the lookout for great flintloque inspiration! I think I literally have about a thousand to paint up......
