Any 'eastern' figures from the era?
« on: November 11, 2021, 07:33:11 PM »
I am looking at putting a Silver Bayonet force together. I have a few British Napoleonics and am probably going to order a pack of two from Casting Room miniatures (from their rebels and rioters range).

However I'm looking for a miniature to represent 'a gentleman from the east'. I have in my mind that this character has persuaded a British lord to fund his hunt for, whatever. I've been looking at some ottoman ranges and they all seem a bit early.

Any suggestions?

How about this from Ironclad Miniatures?

You might also cast your eye over their John Carter figure

I was going to suggest exactly this, but then I noticed the revolver! He's a bit late for the Napoleonic era...

Maybe something from the West Wind Vampire wars range?

Alternatively how about one of the chaps from GAPS 24B from Iron Duke:

You could probably shave the cylinder off and clip the hammer; give it a sympathetic paint scheme and it should pass as a flintlock pistol.

One of the Foundry darkest africa Zanzibaris perhaps?
I think Brigade Games do Napoleonic ottomans?

Also, Steve Barber Models have a great Greek War of Independence range, with plenty of Turks and Egyptians:
