(Commercial) Frostgrave: Blood Legacy.
« on: 14 November 2021, 10:12:25 AM »
The new supplement for Frostgrave will be out on the 9th of December.
Titled Blood Legacy, this book introduces Giants and Vampires into your games.

We've got it at a special pre-order price right now:

We are doing a miniatures release for Blood Legacy. We're delighted to have designer Matt Bickley join us for the first time in this project, his figures are looking superb. I don't think we'll be able to co-ordinate the book and figure release, but they will be coming out soon after.

Same price and format as the previous Red King supplement, right?  That was a solid start for 2nd edition, look forward to trying this one out.

With lock down getting in the way, not done Red King yet. The chance to have a Vampire warband might make me skip ahead to this one when we get the new campaign going.

Matt Bickley's figs are more dynamic than the usual stuff ( I know his Vikings and Anglo Danes ). Good news, very suitable for skirmish games.  :)

I'm just starting out in the world of frostgrave and its miniatures, but I can't wait to see what comes next! (particularly in plastic! Though I will hold out hope that one day you will revisit Ghost Archipelago with a tribals II set to cover some women folk)

blimey ... poor old yeti (?) ... 'frying tonight!'

anyone know why the original (husband and wife?) illustrators of the series (and GA) have moved on?
(if I'm correct in thinking this new cover [very good] is by one of the recently used artists).

No plastic kit this time? I really want to see what Matt Bickley can do for Frostgrave!

Would these not work?

They're metal.  Modular plastics would be what I'm after, and I assume Porsenna is looking for the same.

It does seem like Ghost Archipelago is on hiatus, doesn't it? Personally, if we are wishlisting, I would love female Barbarians, preferably by the same sculptor as the first set.

Either way, looking forward to seeing some Matt Bickley sculpts for Frostgrave, will probably wait to order the book for when the minis are available as well.

More female must-part plastic kits of all kinds please.

Regrettably, yes.  It got decent support initially but has fallen by the wayside pretty badly, especially since 2nd ed FG came out.  Maybe we'll see a new edition or further supplements at some point but at this point I'm really not betting on it.

On a side note, has anyone ever actually seen a crew "win" a campaign by getting all the map stones together?  I certainly haven't, and playing RAW I suspect the number of games required for a win makes it nigh-impossible to manage before your heritor inevitably dies in combat.

Seconded.  Heck, I'd happily buy a female gnoll or demon box.  Just remember that real hyenas only have two nipples and don't go down the weird multi-boob route the old Chainmail figs did.  :)

We never got there at least, and we played a lot of Ghost Archipelago pre-Covid. Two or three stones I think at the most.
