War of the Spanish Succession Infantry painting video
« on: December 01, 2021, 04:34:40 PM »
I'm happy to share this YouTube video below, recorded by a gaming mate, which shows the painting process of a Minairons miniatures WSS 1/72 Austrophile Infantry set, along with its command group. I hope you like it as much as I do!

I like the music choice at the beginning! 1/72 is essentially 20mm, right? What set of rules does he plan to use with them?

Very nice video. One question, what brushes do you use for the project ? They have very long hair and a very well shaped tip.

Yes they're the same size as Zvezda plastic ones.

We're currently playing this period's larger battles using Maurice with 15mm figures; however, a gaming mate (the video author) recently conceived the idea to use 1/72 figures for smaller scale engagements (skirmishes and so), and that's we're likely going to do in a future.

I was too wondering so while watching this video.
Perhaps better asking to the video author using his YouTube channel  ;)

They are very nice figures and wonderful painting. What is the availability of these figures in the uk?

We're currently enjoying one single retailer in the UK - this is McKeeman Models, from Scotland.
I can't recall if they do carry products belonging to this particular period - it should be asked.

I can just about cope with 28mm and, for me, it was a revelation to see how these figures were painted. It has given me a few ideas about how I can try to improve my next batch, so we'll see how that goes.
