Barbarian raid on Aegyptus
« on: November 08, 2021, 05:23:36 PM »
We managed another game set in Aegyptus but featuring our version of lion Rampant.
The barbarians are conducting a raid on an underground temple complex or Necropolis.  The Two entrances are covered by Three skirmishing units of Medjay. However the alarm has gone out and a unit of temple guards will appear on a 5 or 6. The Medjay do a good job whittling down the attackers and breaking one unit but losing one of their own, But numbers start to tell and they are pushed back. just when things were looking grim a unit of newly painted temple guards appears followed by another the next turn. These Elite troops are more than able to hold their own in an even fight and are well armed and armoured. However they are seriously out numbered. The next unit to arrive is a mighty giant of a warrior. Surely a demigod, his massive Bronze sword cutting down the raiders. It is all too much for them. One unit breaks followed by another then another until all the raiders are in flight. Which is a shame as I had spent the afternoon repainting my floor tiles.

High praise indeed coming from you James. Your Midgard set up is an inspiration.
