After finishing up my 2nd Ed miniatures I've moved on to the modern ones but to give myself a bit of a change I'm painting them on an alternate Black Legion Scheme, a touch more "Grimdark" than what I have been painting.

I think they look great. I was never a fan of all the gold trim and red accessories. These look much darker and grimmer which is exactly what chaos marines should be imo

Looking good, not too shiny and new.

I, too, prefer space marines to look like they've actually been out fighting rather than in the barracks polishing their armour.

Looking great, although I wouldn't have minded if you had used that dull brass/gold effect seen on the icon bearer, either. That one's quite effective, too.

I'm actually going to use that colour on the characters' shoulder pad trims to denote them as someone special and then Abaddon will receive a full gold trim as he's the boss.
