They're very loosely based on the Black Legion scheme on the painted minis in the 2nd Ed Codex.

For a model (I won't say mini as it's enormous) which I've never really liked, you've made it look pretty good. I may even rethink my idea of flogging the one that came in the Eldritch Omens box that I bought in a moment of weakness.  (one of many of late, I do like a lot of the latest GW offerings, an two kidneys always seemed excessive.)
