Anyone used Resinhistoricals.co.uk?
« on: November 03, 2021, 12:02:26 PM »
Hi all,

Pretty much as the title says - just curious if anyone has used these guys: https://resinhistoricals.co.uk/

They look pretty new on the market so I was mostly wondering about print quality, postage times, etc. I did notice they don't do Paypal which is occasionally a red flag for me but not necessarily a deal breaker.

If anyone's had any experience would be good to hear!

Cheers,

Tyr

I am a bit worried seeing their medieval English have pointed ears...

Why? Not because the chap mixes both historical and fantasy, but because labelling them historical makes me wondering about the attention to detail, considering I have been told resin 3D printing requires attention to details!

I'm pretty sure that the site is selling others 3D prints rather than making their own for it. I think they're licensing the files for print and sale.

Several of their models are ones I remember seeing elsewhere...

Hi, yesterday I followed up another post on Lead Adventure which mentioned them. I am interested in their prints of Caballero Miniatures “El Cid Spanish” which seemed much cheaper ( 60p vs £1 per foot figure) than another Company I saw at Partizan last month. I dropped them an e-mail asking some questions about the range and basics such as P&P. So far radio silence.

 Caveat Emptor.

Yes, that's exactly what they're doing. I assume they're a licensed seller (assumption on my part).

Thanks a lot for the comment. They are indeed pretty cheap, hence my query. I think for now I will stick with known sellers on Etsy - of which there are many - before trying these guys, unless someone comes along with direct experience.

Thanks for the replies.

I bought my samples from Fenland Miniature Scenery. As I have said they were priced at c£1 per foot figure. I also saw someone at the SELWG show selling them for £2 each but these were without supports and ready to prime/paint. However £2 per figure is too much to pay for an army of several 100 figures!

If the P&P isn’t outrageous I may give Resin Historicals a go.

Yes, figures arrived and quite impressed.  Good detail and good size in comparison to other metal manufacturers. So pleased and will look to re order

My advice would be to buy from Fenland Miniature Scenery if you want the prints.

It is run by a very nice chap called James who is honest and honourable.  8)
