Those dogs are wonderful. I've got some giant mutant ants to paint up, and now I'm considering a nice purple with glowing blue eyes and antennae.

Hey AndrewB
Cheers
If it helps I started with a black base then used screamer pink to work up the highlights with a light fleshed tone on top and a few spots of white then a wash of druchi violet

Interesting. I hadn't considered washing purple over a pink. I have a nice triad of purple paints I like, but I may have a go at your method as a test run.

The rules for scenario complications call for ‘Nest sites’
One quick root through the bits box and blast apart with the saw….hey presto 👐
One after and one before application of the patented ‘soiling’ mixture
(Sand, burnt umber acrylic and PVA)
Painting to follow….

love the ticks and nests. Those egg things are pretty awesome. Where are they from?

Thanks…
Errrmmmm….
Been in the bits box for ‘quite’ a while looking for a purpose if I had to guess I would say denizen or maybe scotia Grendel ??😬They came on a 100mm hexagon base and were part of a set with doors and wall sections based on xenomorf decor 👍🏼👍🏼

Ohhhh. So, I have some ant eggs that came as a part of a plastic ant set I bought. No idea why a handful of eggs seemed necessary, especially since they just look like chicken eggs. I'm no expert, but that doesn't feel right. I'm thinking it might be easy enough to add a bit of green stuff and add in that texture. What is there to lose?

Of course, I have to make some ant hills too. I can't have giant ants without ant hills, can I? No... no, I can't.

The purple I came up with works pretty well, I think. Haven't hit it with a wash, and I'm not sure I will end up doing that anyway. Gave them blue eyes, but there isn't enough mouth on the ants to give them the full treatment. lol
