New Westwind SOTR release: TIGER MECHA!!!!!
« on: September 27, 2009, 06:40:02 PM »
Finally the Tiger Mecha MKI Out Octboer 12th 2009!!!!! Can't wait

Nothing is more terrifying than the latest mecha design of the German engineers of the Nibelungen Panzer factory. This is a machine powerful and fearsome enough to be the harbinger of doom for the allies as the Gotterdammerung rages on a veritable chariot of the Gods. Every reverberating footstep sounds the death knell of its foes. The very appearance of one of these iron gods of death has been known to break the will of allied units.

Nice one Andy!!!!

Nice model, except for one point. The designer seems to have made the same error as GW doe with their tanks. From the position of the main gun and the pilot's view slit, it looks to me that the breech of the gun would pass through the pilot's legs  :o

I don't like this mecha, but I dunno why... it is really not german-like! wjere are those poligonal-sharpened edges? the design is really different, IMHO...

i have some sotr germans, and i LOVE them, but i don't like that one, as like as the german armored suit (that unfortunately i bought... :( )

how tall is it? looks pretty huge, isn't it?

Better have some heavy armor because that thing is like 3 stories tall and will been seen by every enemy gunner on the battlefield.

Not a fan of it either,

Way too futuristic, like most Weird War stuff seems to be. Next to nothing about its stylings speaks of either Germany or the 1940s. Yuck.

Taken as a pure Sci-Fi piece I think it's a lovely bit of kit, mind.

Thats nailed it for me. I love this type of stuff although I dont have any gaming interests. Nothing has surpassed the original Nitto SF3D stuff for me, shame its all 1/35 or 1/20th.

The only thing that says Tiger here is the barrell. Its nice but not German/WWII or Tiger enough for me.

Maby it has an auto loader and the driver has a lays down to pilot it?

I like it. Its better than the other Mecha's WW has put out.  Its a good step in the 'right' direction for more mechas.

We are using the AT43 ones for our games.  If WW can make more like this one, we might add to our mechas.

First time I've seen this mini.............

Is it me or are the legs really huge compared to the torso?
As a sci-fi mini it's pretty cool but as a Weird War mech I think I'll stick with my Dustgames Gunther and Luther.

I agree. It looks tops for a sc-fi walker but I prefer to tinker with the AT-43 ranges until something more appealing shambles along.

Those legs make no sense to me. They're way too large proportionally compared with the upper "tank" section IMO. Can't suspend my disbelief with that one.  ;)

Hate to add onto the pile, but...

This doesn't speak WW2 or Weird War Two to me, but then again, I've always felt the reliance on "Mecha" was just... not the kind of direction I'd envision "Weird War II' going.  It's far too "anime" or "Battletech". I occasionally do like the look of mecha nevertheless, but this one has some fairly (sorry) ridiculous proportions. It's like a huge pair of legs on steroids, with the torso of a robo-midget;)
