15mm Ancient Egyptian Buildings/Terrain?
« on: December 13, 2021, 07:06:37 PM »
Hi All

Anyone know of anyone who does scenery that would fit the Egyptian aesthetic but in 15mm?

I'm looking to create a campaign set in Saite Egypt (Late Period) following bands of Mercenaries and have some forces for much much earlier Bronze age stuff but I can't find anything that fits in the scale. Strikes me that it may be a bit of a niche thing.

You don't say what kind of thing you want.
Temples etc.? Then Aquarium ornaments. Good enough for my
28mm games, they would be even more impressive in 15mm.

Buildings? Lots of MDF in 15mm and Amera  do nice & cheap
vacuum formed stuff (buildings and even sand dunes)

Pyramids?  Right time of year to buy some Ferrero Rocher for
the wife/girlfriend, but get the pyramid box & make sure you
save it from the rubbish. lol

I was thinking statues, monuments, pillars.

I assume building wise square generic mudbrick houses would work for basic civvie stuff.

I was looking at temples but other then pillars I think I could possible scratch build some stuff as say the Temple at Luxor is reasonably angular...

Take a look at Wedding cake pillars. Most are
cylinders, but I have managed to (on occassion)
find some that are squarish, & therefore usable
for Egyptian temples.
For statues look at 1/72nd plastic for chariots &
54mm plastic for heroic warriors.
A box of relatively cheap 1/72nd plastic can also
provide some relief detail on the walls of temples.
There is also a favourite of mine, car-boot sales &
charity sales. From the former I got a bag of pens
with Egyptian gods on. They were dirt cheap as,
'The pens don't work'  :D.
From the later I picked up an Egyptian chess set,
again dirt cheap as, 'There are two pieces missing'  :D
Good luck on your project.

Proper column design is something I’m still working on, for my 15mm Egyptian tomb complex project:

Brummie

Just came across this:

https://lunesdargentworkshop.com/shop/egyptian-dungeons/

The walls seem to reach to about the waist or chest of 28mm figures, so they should be okay for 15mm as well.

Check out the Lovecraft Desert adventures range of buildings and scenery items .  They are 3D printed so they should be able to print them in 15mm.  The Egyptian ruins are very nice.
