GZG New Israelis 18mm Scifi
« on: July 25, 2022, 01:32:51 PM »
These minis which remind me of the Spartans in Halo are some of the nicest & beefiest around. They complement the light infantry perfectly ( 2nd pic from last ).  Their Golem Power armour ( last pic ) are quite nice also. The separately moulded arms/weapons add variety but these types of minis are becoming too fiddly for me to superglue.

What can I say I love metal minis as they beat 3d printed ones hands down because they are heftier. Having said that, plastic ( i.e. polystyrene) ones are much more versatile for converting etc.

I had a stack of them & it was quite a job to finish them but perseverance pays out in the end.

I printed some design compatible Banshee mechs as battle suits. These are superb & free https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-bnc-3m-banshee-for-battletech-104769

Z,

The Banshee mechs, some have modified gun hands.
Kitbash, conversion or 3d altered print?

Very cool, they look great.

Thank you  :)

Grimmnar,
If I am not mistaken modified in 3D builder.
My love for scratch building / kitbashing has migrated into 3D also.

Let me make a suggestion.
Splitting is good in 3D Builder BUT I have found a better way for my needs .... create a cube ( desired size ) with a thickness of 0.01mm thickness .
Place it where you want to separate & subtract. It will not effect part as it is so thin.

Repair if required as 3D builder is moody sometimes  ;)

Hope this helps
Z
