Excellent!!! The design of the tomb looks remarkable. Is it as modular as it appears to be?

the materials would probably cost less than $5 USD per tile.

Soooo are you making these to sell??????

Love the design & layout - I thought for sure it was Hirst Arts blocks, but cut 1/2 inch styrofoam would be even faster and cheaper than casting once you set a jig up to help!

Another idea to file away in the back of my mind for that hypothetical day when I have more space to work in...

No, I don't think I'll try to make any to sell. I can barely keep up with building terrain for my own needs.   :)

Yes, the tiles are made to be rearranged in different ways.

Well, I added in some extra little tomb trash pieces just to give the place that "lived-in" look --

And this is a closer shot of one of the little piles --

Great stuff! How exactly are you cutting the foam? It looks like really neat clean cuts.

Is it posible to post the layout here ?

Cheaper than Dwarven Forge and it looks damn good as well.  I toyed with the idea of making a set of movable dungeon terrain using a similar method and 12 inch tiles used for flooring, you can find all manner of ugly tiles on the cheap at home improvement stores.

I may have to explore this idea further, good inspirational work on this, which is why I love this site.

Ack, I have been discovered! On the good-side, at least I found a use for all the beads I am usually paid with.  ;)

Super-Gibbon -- I just used a large utility knife. This made some of the cuts a little ragged but in this case I felt like this helped add some imperfections that contributed to the overall look I was going for. When I try to add this kind of stuff later it just seems to lack enough randomness.

Grimm -- is this what you were looking for? This was just a study sheet to look at some of the ways the four pieces could fit together.

Next, I'd like to make some cool doors to block off some of the entry/exits points.

THANKS!

couldn't you do the same thing just scoring the walls instead of cutting all those blocks out? i mean it looks cool and all but it seems like the hard way to go about it?

Hey, now that's a nice tomb! I've been toying with the idea of getting some Hirst Block molds, but I think this is the way to go instead. The little skulls and beads really add to the flavor!

Are these blocks holding the sections together somehow?

Thanks! I was actually looking at the Hirst molds yesterday and wondering if I should try those instead.  I am sure it would be more durable than the Styrofoam.

No, at this time they are only there to fill the gap between the two tiles but they do not actually hold it together. I had considered using magnets or pegs in these pieces but decided against it as I was afraid they would just end up doing more damage than good, since everything is only Styrofoam. In practice, it turned out that the tiles are heavy enough that they really don’t slide around during play so I am fine with not having them lock together at this point.

Me also was thinking it was made of Hirst Art blocks but then... :o much easier to do and less expensive...Great work !!

I also would like to copy this especially after the new chaos in cairo supplement was published  ;D ...and I´m in need of a fast-to-make tomb

The tomb trash is a nice idea...

Hope to see more

Good looking set.

I thought they might be Hirst Arts too.
