Wow thanks for the assistance Chaps!
The Bush wars are almost perfect modern gaming for me as built up areas and masses of civilians do not appear. Having said that a scratch built farm with inhabitants is on my work desk.
I had a go at one of those a few years ago, apologies for the blurry photos. Decided on a farm house with a couple of workers shacks that had been reinforced with a watchtower/refuge and fence. All scratch built from stuff from a model railway shop.

Another fantastic thread. Very inspiring and those vehicle posters are fantastic. I managed to pick up a couple of Hot Wheels unimogs a few years back maybe 2014. They scaled right for 20mm. Cut the cab off of one, not an easy task. Never got any paint on them though. Now I'll have to dig them up.

Thats a fantastic looking board you made Rick! I also like the photos-they match the photo quality/typs of the period somehow. I have a couple of Lesney Unimogs (in 1/43 and also fast wheels), I am not sure of their scale but they may well be stripped and painted as they look close enough.

Thanks, the game was a classic Fire Force operation, SAS/Scouts OP on the high ground, Terrs attacking the farm, with Para and chopper deployed RLI. I couldn't be bothered converting the Allouette, I just painted a normal one green and sand, my excuse was that as they would only be on the table for seconds...... lol Glad you're not being as lazy, looking forward to seeing you're finished force.
