And being a futuristic food facility, if you cook something a little “smelly”, just push the button and freshness returns. lol

Sound of finger (finally) being pulled out.
I have just started on my build.
Picture 75 = Start (2.30pm GMT)  :o
76 = The back half is turned around,
& glued into the front half.
77 = Cardboard tube cut to length &
hot glued to couple of CDs.
    78 & 79 = Ship glued onto stand...It flippin works!!!
No time for careful planning, that's for wimps!
So it is all going to be done on the hoof. :?
80 = Start on the decking.
             81 = here she comes! :D

Now to leave it well alone until tomorrow, giving the
glue a chance to dry.

Oooops!!! Forgot to load the pictures. :o

Glue dried overnight, & it is still in one piece, however...

Picture 82 & 83 = Gaps!  :o :o
           84 & 85 = No worries, gaps filled.
86 = Due to the wonder of...Hard as Nails.
Our local Poundland sells it for £2 ( ???)

Work on the 'cabin' & covering the gap
between the upper & lower decks. I've
decided upon stairs.

Now to give it a chance to dry a little.

It just can't have car tyres hanging over the side,
to protect against bumping into things, so I had
a look around. Found three bases I had cut off
some Sci-fi figures purchased from Poundland.
Stuck them on. I see them as a low power motion
damper which will do the same job as...an old
car tyre. lol

Purchased, from (my favourite shop) Poundland,
a string of lanterns. One of these sawn in half will
become an ornate rear window on the stern.

More gubbins glued on last night.

Cabin struts, to support canopy.
Serving hatches, which will drop down & become the counter.
The rear.  Ornate cabin window & (noisy) engines above.
The front. Navigation aids.
Overview of the ship so far.

1) not 'flying' more a (not very reliable) anti-grav power unit.
'That's NOT flying, it's falling with style'  lol
2) Just about EVERYTHING I make is from 'junk', or
as I prefer to describe it, 'Construction Ready Appendage
    Possibilities'. (CRAP for short.  :D)

Today I'm waiting for the canopies (glue soaked paper towels)
to dry, then (weather permitting) spray undercoat it.

This is fantastic and the humour it could bring to the table is a bonus - hope to see it falling in style soon.

Thank you Golgotha.

Next the Awnings, heavily soaked with diluted wood glue.
Now the wait for it to dry, then comes...THE PAINTING !!! ;D

Awnings look great - in future if you do not want to spend hours waiting on dry time use Mod Podge instead of normal white glue - it is also stronger and seems to take paint better - though it costs significantly more. Mod Podge is also great as it does not warp things out of shapes like white glue or wood glue does.

Looking forward to seeing the painting. No doubt lots of weathering.

So what are the food options onboard? Can imagine some interesting staff working in such a place...

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
Golgotha, I'll have to try Modge Podge.

If we get a weeks extension I might get time to do
Staff & food. Failing that you'll have to imagine what
Roast Gaspurtic looks like. lol
