So here are the last pictures before starting to paint the thing. Basecoat of black Gesso is applied . More pictures during the competition. For now thats it

That is true indeed. I have a new phone ands somehow the alignment of the pictures was wrong. So here is another picture hopefully without a stoned pilot ;)

Well I didn't even make it to the first round... . :D

All the entries this year were grand, and this is grand, very reminiscent of the scenery in the film Dien Bien Phu, which obviously has a similar setting. It's also a very practical bit of scenery too. Thanks for posting the additional pics.  8) 8)

I really like the texture of the ground work- it looks like freshly dug ground with a nice mix of aggregate.
