Oh, some of the earlier pics turned out pretty small ... I'll post some larger, detailed ones in the future.

Anyway - last post for today, some more French - Perry metal ones with some head swaps here and there to prevent any clones in the ranks!

Stay tuned for army shots since I have quite the collection atm - over 100 figures painted, including cavalry and artillery.

Wow excellent additions!

And I have just had the pleasure of going back through the thread.

Having just started my own AWI project (in 10mm) can I ask about the white turn backs on the Continental's coats, is this a general thing, or for a specific regiment? I tend to have gone with the same colour turn backs as cuffs (red or yellow so far)?

Thanks!!

It varied from unit to unit - but of course, there were variations. Best course of action is to pick a regiment and stick with their colour scheme. Having said that - I also went for a pretty "generic" look when it comes to my Continentals -  I meanyou can't go wrong with brown or blue coats with red facings and white turnbacks, it was the most common by far and works well for "generic" look between 1776-1783 IMO. My Continentals are based on the various units from Maryland but they could as easily be used on the tabletop as any other regiment.

Thanks a lot!

Here's a pretty "generic" Continental commander I finished the other day, the base mini is a Perry british metal one (who got a head sweap and a new sword wielding arm)

Thanks - I'd missed white turn backs as an option - and I'm certainly going for generic with my Continental troops. And this comes at exactly the right time, as I have just painted the blue coats for my next set of troops.

Me and my friends have also played a lot of AWI games using tweaked Ravenfeast rules during the last couples of years - and it has always worked like a charm and most imporant of all - it has been fun as hell!

The core rules are free and you can get them here:
http://www.ravenfeast.com/free-downloads.html

I've made a lot of balanced and fun house rules (as I did for my ECW, Samurai, WOTR and ACW projects) - here's a link to the AWI house rules and scenarios intended to be used with the Ravenfeast Core rules:

Thank you for sharing the AWI rules.
If its not much trouble could you please share the ACW and ECW rules for Ravenfeast please ?
I have figures for both periods and would love to try them.

PM sent! I forgot to include the stats for Hessian Musketeers and Grenadiers though - but they're the same as British Foot Infantry and Brit. Grenadiers.

Love that little table - it looks great. Very interesting that you adapted Ravenfeast; it shows how flexible some rules can be with a little imagination.

You're welcome!

Just thought I'd share some shots of a board we played on the other weekend. 21 minis on each side (1 Captain, 10 Militia and 10 Riflemen on the Patriot side - 1, Captain, 10 Foot Infantry and 10 Queen's Rangers on the British side) - 8 turns with some hidden objectives, super fun game!

Buildings are a mix of Renedra, Great Escape Games and a Dutch firm (the name escapes me atm). The colourful duster is from IKEA.  :D

We also played a great "siege" game the other weekend - using the GW Rohan palisades as well as some Renedra and 1/72 cabins - this was a somewhat larger game, with artillery included.
